Cocktail Bandrek Ingredients

  • Carnation – 3 pcs.
  • Juniper berries (mash) – 3 pcs.
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 pc.
  • Green cardamom – 6 “boxes” (mash)
  • Black peppercorns – 4 pcs.
  • Sugar – 4 pieces
  • Coconut milk – 50 ml
  • Milk – 75 ml

  1. Combine the first six ingredients in a heavy-walled bowl. Heat gently over low heat (to enhance the spice flavor).
  2. Add 175 ml of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until 30-45 ml (2-3 tablespoons) of syrup remains.
  3. Remove from heat and refrigerate. Combine syrup, coconut milk, and regular milk in a blender. Mix the Bandrek until smooth.
  4. Strain into a glass of crushed ice. Garnish the Bandrek with a cinnamon stick and a cocktail cherry.
