Ingredients

  • 400 g beef fillet (s), sliced
  • 1 bell pepper (s), cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoon bamboo shoot (s), cut into strips
  • 2 kaffir lemon leaves, whole
  • 1 teaspoon lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 1 small can coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil (sesame oil) and soy sauce for the marinade
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil, neutral
  • 100 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 small onion (s), chopped
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), red
  • 2 tablespoon curry paste, red or green, the red one is hotter

Instructions

  1. Marinate the meat with the sesame oil and soy sauce for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  2. Heat the neutral oil in a pan, fry the meat and onion, remove from the pan. Lightly fry the curry paste in the roasting set, stir in the coconut milk with a whisk, simmer. Then add the peppers, the meat, the lemon leaves and the lemongrass, fish sauce, chilli peppers and the bamboo shoots and simmer on a low flame for 10 minutes (with the lid slightly open), add vegetable broth or water if you like, when the sauce is added should be thick.
  3. There is also Thai jasmine rice.
