Ingredients

  • 1 ½ kg grapes, (muscat grapes) ripe
  • 250 ml wine, red, dry
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2 clove (s)
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), untreated
  • 250 g cane suar
  • 0.5 liter ½ cognac or brandy

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapes, remove the stems and pat dry.
  2. Put red wine in a saucepan.
  3. Wash the lemon with hot water, brush it, peel it thinly and cut it into pieces. Add the 2x broken cinnamon stick, cloves and pieces of peel to the red wine. Add the cane sugar and bring to the boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the brew through a hair sieve and bring to the boil again without any spices. Add the grapes and let them steep for 5 minutes. Pour the fruit and the brew into clean glasses. Top up with cognac until the fruits are completely covered.
  5. Store in a cool and dark area.
  6. The fruits are always a welcome souvenir from friends.
