Instructions

  1. Mix the sour cream with the garlic, mayonnaise, milk and oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the sour cream mixture to the cabbage and carrots. Mix well and let steep for 12 hours.
  3. The idea of preparing a different kind of coleslaw for pulled pork came about because the BBQ sauce that is served with it is traditionally sweet and sour and I wanted to create a counterpart. That`s why I deliberately avoided acidity and sweetness in the dressing of the Coleslaw and designed a different kind of dressing. A sweet and sour coleslaw with sweet and sour BBQ sauce and pulled pork seemed too boring to me.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
