Ingredients

  • 3 handfuls Cornelian cherries per 0.75 liter schnapps
  • 1 handful rock candy, white, depending on the desired sweetness
  • 0.5 stick ½ cinnamon
  • 0.5 ½ vanilla pod (s), slit open
  • 0.75 liter ¾ schnapps (double grain, 38%)

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash, pat dry the Cornelian cherries and prick several times. The stone remains in the fruit.
  2. Then fill into a larger, clean, sealable glass. Add rock sugar, cinnamon stick and vanilla pod. Top up with double grain. Close the jar and shake well.
  3. The liqueur must rest for several weeks before it is filtered out. Shake again and again in between. Fill the finished liqueur into bottles.
