Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees circulating air. Line a large baking dish on the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Press the garlic on well, unpeeled.
  3. Cut the potatoes into approx. 1.5 to 2 cm wedges and dry them very well in a kitchen towel. Then put in a bowl. Add the ingredients for the marinade to the potatoes and mix everything well - I use my hands for this and put on disposable gloves beforehand.
  4. Spread the spiced potatoes flat in the baking dish. The potatoes must not lie on top of each other. Simply place the clove of garlic in the center of the pan. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked through and nicely brown. Turn once after 30 minutes.
  5. Tip 1: I have made the experience that for potatoes that are supposed to have roasted aromas, circulating air is better than top / bottom heat.
  6. Tip 2: From 1 kg of potatoes, line a baking sheet with double parchment paper.

Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling.
