Ingredients

  • 2 leeks
  • 1 cup cream
  • salt and pepper
Cream Leek
Cream Leek

Instructions

  1. Halve both leek sticks, wash them thoroughly and cut into rings approx. 0.5 cm thick. Pour into a saucepan and fill up to about 1/3 with cream (the one with the mug will be about enough). Let it simmer until the leek is done (the leek will still collapse a bit). Stir occasionally. Salt, pepper and serve.
  2. Tip: If the leek vegetables are to be reheated the next day, it is advisable to briefly blanch the leek in boiling water before cooking so that it does not turn gray when it is reheated (which, by the way, would not affect the taste).
  3. This vegetable side dish is easy and quick to prepare and goes well with fish, for example.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
