Instructions

  1. Season the meat and fry it in a little oil, then put it in an ovenproof dish. Fry the bacon and onion cubes. Add the cream with the sour cream and heat, stir in the cream cheese and melt in it. Add the herbs, mushrooms, garlic and boiled ham and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the meat. Let it flow well, preferably overnight.
  2. Put in the oven at 180 ° for about 70 minutes. With the microwave switched on, the cooking time can be shortened a bit.
  3. White bread and salad (e.g. bean salad goes very well) are enough. Great for guests in large quantities, also because it is easy to prepare.
  4. Tip: for a lower-fat variant, you can of course replace all dairy products with e.g. Cremefine or Balance cream cheese.

Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling.
