Ingredients

  • 200 g wheat
  • 1 bunch spring onion (s)
  • 3 pepper (s), red, yellow and green
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • Thyme leaves, fresh
  • 125 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g double cream cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Soak the wheat in 600 ml of water overnight. The next day, bring to the boil in the soaking water and let it swell over low heat for about 40 minutes.
  2. Clean and wash the spring onions. Quarter the white tubers, cut the green into 0.5 cm thick rings. Clean the peppers, cut in half and cut into strips or cubes.
  3. Heat the oil in a large pan, stir-fry the white onion pieces and pepper pieces over medium heat for a few minutes. Drain the wheat, add, also add the thyme and the green onion pieces. Season to taste with salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in vegetable stock and cream cheese.
  4. Soy sauce can also be used instead of Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Also tastes good with other grains.
