  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Sugar – 150 g
  • Baking flour – 120 g
  • (or flour and 0.5 teaspoon baking powder)
  • Starch – 120 g
  • Rum or cognac – 2 tbsp
  • Raisins – 150 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 sachet

  1. Put 150 grams of soft butter in a mixer bowl, add 150 grams of granulated sugar. Beat at high speed.
  2. In the process of beating, add one packet of vanilla sugar and four eggs one at a time. Each time, before adding the next egg, wait until the mass beats into a foam.
  3. Add two tablespoons of rum to the resulting egg-oil mixture, mix. Add 150 grams of raisins if desired.
  4. Sift 120 grams of baking flour and 120 grams of starch into a mass. If you don’t have flour for baking, you can use regular white flour with 0.5 teaspoon of baking powder.
  5. Mix everything well.
  6. Grease the baking dish with plenty of oil and transfer the dough there. We bake the cake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for about one hour. We check the readiness with a wooden stick.
  7. Put the finished cake on a wire rack and let cool.
  8. Cut the cooled crumbly cake, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea or coffee.
