Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber (s)
  • butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, (Dijon mustard)
  • 1 tablespoon crème fraîche or sour cream
  • 0.5 ½ bunch dill, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 dash balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Peel the cucumber, cut in half lengthways and remove the inside. Then cut into slices.
  2. Melt a good trick of butter in the saucepan, add the sugar and let it caramelize briefly. Add the cucumber, season with salt and pepper and deglaze with a good dash of balsamic vinegar. Stew for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in mustard, crème fraîche and dill and serve.
  3. Tastes great with fish dishes.
