Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk, warm
  • 250 g butter, melted and cooled
  • 42 g yeast, fresh
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 160 g suar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 900 g flour

For the filling:

  • 250 g quark
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

For the cast:

  • 200 g powdered suar
  • cream

Instructions

  1. For the dough, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Then knead a dough from all the ingredients. If the dough still sticks, add a little more flour. But it shouldn`t be too tight. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. It should have at least doubled.
  2. Mix and prepare the ingredients for the filling.
  3. Form small rolls of 70 g from the dough, press them flat and put 1 teaspoon of the quark filling in the middle. Score 2 slits on 2 opposite sides with the knife. Pull one side through the opposite slot so that the filling is visible in the middle. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the quark pieces in about 15 minutes.
  5. For the icing, mix the icing sugar with the cream. Use enough cream to make a thick paste. Brush the still warm curd pieces with it.
