Ingredients

  • 1 kg currants, red
  • 1 packet pudding powder (cream or vanilla)
  • 0.5 liter ½ milk
  • 1 packet biscuits (shortbread biscuits)
  • sugar
  • possibly Cointreau

Instructions

  1. First prepare the pudding according to the instructions and put it in a bowl, covered with foil so that it does not skin, put in the refrigerator.
  2. Now strip the currants from the panicles and wash them.
  3. Take a larger glass bowl and cover the bottom tightly with shortbreads. Put a layer of currants on top and add sugar! Spread a layer of the cooled pudding on top. Now again: cookies - currants - sugar - pudding. The amount of ingredients is enough for 2 complete layers. The top is always a layer of currants with sugar.
  4. This dessert can be e.g., prepare very well for the next day, because then the fruits have pulled the biscuits through nicely. This dessert is also very welcome at any party. For this you can let the currants steep in 2-3 tablespoons of Cointreau after they have been plucked and washed!
