Ingredients

  • 1 jar plum (s), pickled, approx. 680 g gross
  • Cola
  • 750 ml ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon curry, mild
  • 1 tablespoon curry, hot
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • 1 squirt lemon juice, to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the plums over a measuring cup. Fill up the plum juice with the cola to 500 ml. Simmer the plums together with the 500 ml plum juice and cola mixture until a kind of syrup is formed. This takes about 40-70 minutes. Be careful here at the end, as it can then easily burn. Puree the whole thing so that the remaining plum pieces and the syrup are a mass.
  2. Top up the plum and cola syrup with ketchup and stir well. Add Worcester sauce, curry, cinnamon and lemon and stir well. Season to taste and, if necessary, add seasoning. Bring to the boil again and then let cool down.
