Instructions

  1. Bring the apple pieces with the apple juice, 175 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar to the boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Then mash something with the potato masher (if you like it fine, you can also use the hand blender). Let the apple pulp cool down.
  2. Melt the margarine in a non-stick pan. Then add the breadcrumbs and the 50 grams of sugar and toast, stirring constantly, until the breadcrumbs get a light color. Let the whole thing cool down.
  3. Beat the cream with 1 sachet of vanilla sugar until stiff.
  4. In a bowl (it looks most beautiful in a glass bowl) put some toasted breadcrumbs (about 1cm), then apple mash about 2-3 cm thick, then cream 2-3 cm thick and again about 1 cm breadcrumbs. Keep layering until everything is used up. Finish with cream
  5. Put the dessert in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  6. I ate the dessert many times in my childhood. It`s a typical Danish recipe.
