Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 tablespoon rapeseed oil
  • 150 g quark, (lean level)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • 125 g date (s), (dried without stone)
  • 100 ml water, (boiling - for the dates)

Instructions

  1. Preliminary work:
  2. Halve the dates and place in a bowl and scald with just under 100 ml of boiling water and let it steep for about 5-6 minutes until the dates have soaked up the water. Then puree the dates with the hand blender.
  3. Now mix the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and stir in the date puree, quark and rapeseed oil using the dough hook of the hand mixer so that all the ingredients combine to form an elastic dough.
  4. Shape about 10 small balls of dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 160 ° C on the middle rail for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. The date rolls taste lukewarm and cold.
