  • 4 large potato (s)
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 bunch spring onion (s)
  • 1 packet bacon
  • Cheese (Gouda or Butter Cheese), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • some garlic
  • possibly nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Bring the potatoes to the boil in the normal way with water and cook until done. (Must not disintegrate, should still be firm.) In the meantime, the spring onions can be finely chopped and the bacon seared so that it is really nice and crispy.
  2. When the potatoes are ready, they are cut in half after a while to cool down. Then use a spoon to hollow out the potato except for a small rim.
  3. The potato innards are put in a bowl and mixed with the spring onions, the crumbled bacon and the cream and add some of the grated cheese. Now season with pepper, salt, possibly garlic and a pinch of nutmeg. Then the whole thing is put back into the potato casings. A small mountain can arise.
  4. Now sprinkle the cheese over it and let the cheese turn golden brown over medium heat. Goes well with grilled food such as steaks etc.
