Ingredients

  • 8 slices toast, (American sandwich toast)
  • 8 slices bacon or bacon in thin
  • 4 medium egg (s)
  • 4 slices processed cheese, OR:
  • Cheese, grated (Gouda, Emmentaler, Mozzarella)
  • salt and pepper
  • some chives, fresh or freeze-dried
  • possibly oil or butter

Instructions

  1. First you take half of the toast slices and cut out a relatively large window in the middle (if you like, you can use cookie cutters, such as a heart).
  2. Then you heat the pan to medium heat, when the pan is warm, you put the toasts with the holes in the pan and beat an egg in each, season it with chives, salt and pepper, let it turn white (if you like, can turn the toast, then the egg is safe through) and then put two bacon slices and two cheese on top. Before the cheese melts, put the whole toast slices on top so that it stays on. Bake until golden brown on both sides.
  3. If you like the toast crispy, you can add oil or butter to the pan.
