Donuts in Chocolate Glaze

by Editorial Staff

Recently, my daughter and I were in a cafe, where they tried donuts (American donuts), which simply melted in your mouth. We decided to try to cook the same at home. And they succeeded, you just lick your fingers.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Yolks – 2 pcs
  • Melted butter – 60 g
  • Vanillin – 1 g
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 4 tablespoons
  • Dry yeast – 1 sachet (11 g)
  • Flour – 550 g
  • For glaze:
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Condensed milk – 2 tablespoons
  • Cocoa – 2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. To knead the dough by hand: heat the milk to 50 degrees, add sugar, salt, yolks, vanillin, melted butter. Mix the sifted flour with dry yeast and add it to the milk-egg mixture and knead into a soft dough. Let it come up in a warm place.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured table into a layer, 1 cm thick, and cut out circles with the neck of a half-liter can, and with a plastic bottle cork – holes in the center to make rings. Let it come up for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Fry donuts in heated vegetable oil until golden brown. By the way, I also fried “bagel holes” (at the request of the workers).
  4. Place donuts on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
  5. For the chocolate glaze, mix together the butter, condensed milk, and cocoa. Warm-up over low heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.
  6. Grease the finished donuts with chocolate icing.
  7. I got 24 donuts, not counting the “donut holes”.

Put on the teapots and bon appetit!
