Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, semolina, vanilla sugar and baking powder well. Coarsely grate the apples and butter.
  2. Line a 26 cm springform pan with baking paper and layer 1/3 dry mix, then half of the apples, then 1/3 dry mix again, the rest of the apples and then the rest of the dry mix. Finally, pour the coarsely grated and frozen butter over it, bake the cake at 200 degrees for 60 minutes and, if possible, let it cool in the oven for a while.
  3. Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream go perfectly with it, especially if the cake is still a little warm.
  4. Despite the name, a very juicy affair.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
