Ingredients

  • 1 ½ kg ground beef
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • 6 tablespoon paprika powder
  • 1 packet bacon
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon mustard, hotter

For the dumplings:

  • 4 pretzel (s), dry
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 400 ml milk, warm
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Turn on the smoker / grill so that the coals can glow through.
  2. Put the chopped pretzels in a bowl, finely chop the parsley and also add. Pour nutmeg and milk over everything and let rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Finely chop the onions and garlic and mix well with salt, pepper, paprika and mustard. Then add everything to the minced meat and mix well with it again.
  4. Weave the bacon into a carpet and spread the minced meat mixture over it. Make sure that it is evenly thick everywhere. Now you can knead the dumpling mass with your hands. Now distribute the dumpling mixture roughly in the middle of the minced meat and roll up the whole bomb.
  5. Now place the dumpling bomb on the smoker at 120 ° C - 130 ° C for 2.5 hours or on the grill with indirect heat.
  6. TIP: If you like, you can brush the dumpling bacon bomb on the outside with a BBQ sauce after 2 hours. That gives even more flavor.
