Instructions

  1. Cut the roll into cubes or pluck it into pieces by hand.
  2. Sift the baking powder and mix it with the flour in a bowl. Make a hole in the middle of the flour mixture, add the eggs, salt, milk and carbonated water and mix well. If the dough is too sticky, just add a little flour.
  3. Then add the bread rolls and knead well. Now the dough should rest for about 1/2 hour.
  4. Then shape the dough into approx. 8 balls and cook in a sufficiently large saucepan in salted water. Leave space, because the dumplings will rise. Turn the dumplings after 15 minutes.
  5. Tear up the dumplings with a fork, then serve with sauerkraut, roast and plenty of gravy.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
