Ingredients

  • 1 egg (s)
  • water
  • 4 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable stock
  • 1 piece (s) carrot (s), for the beak
  • 1 piece (s) nori sheet, for eyes and feet
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the egg in water.
  2. Pour off the water, fill up with new water. Stir in the vegetable stock and curry powder - enough until the water is cloudy yellow. Turn on the hotplate. Peel the egg and place in the boiling, not boiling water. It should be covered in the curry broth. Let it steep until the egg has visibly discolored yellow.
  3. If the color doesn`t turn yellow enough, stir in more curry powder.
  4. Carefully remove the yellow egg, it will rub off easily, pat dry with kitchen paper.
  5. Cut out 2 small triangles from the nori and even smaller triangles from one of the three sides. For the eyes, punch 2 circles from the nori. Cut a triangle out of the carrot. Place everything in the right place and glue with mayonnaise. Put 2 small points of light made of mayonnaise on the eyes.
