Ingredients

  • 150 grams flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 150 g butter
  • 140 g powdered suar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped with vanilla sugar
  • 190 ml egg liqueur

For covering:

  • 2 apples e.g., Boskoop

For the sprinkles:

  • 150 grams flour
  • 120 g butter
  • 100 g suar, brown

Instructions

  1. The recipe fits on a 26 cm springform pan, line it with baking paper and grease the edge.
  2. Beat the egg whites into egg whites and set aside.
  3. Mix the butter with the egg yolks, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Then gradually stir in the egg liqueur. Then stir in the flour, starch and baking powder. Finally fold in the egg whites.
  4. Pour the dough into the prepared form and preheat the oven to 175 degrees top / bottom heat.
  5. Peel and core the apples. Cut the fruit into wedges and place them close together on the dough. Knead crumble from the butter, brown sugar and flour (preferably by hand) and crumble over the apples.
  6. Put the cake in the oven for 70 minutes.
  7. Then remove the edge of the pan and let the cake cool down.
  8. If you like, you can use powdered sugar and eggnog to make a delicious topping and sprinkle it over the cake.
