Ingredients

  • 600 ml juice (elderberries -)
  • 300 ml orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed
  • 500 g preservin suar, 2: 1
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix the juices with the sugar in a large saucepan and add the cinnamon sticks. Bring to the boil while stirring and let it simmer for at least 3 minutes.
  2. Fish out the cinnamon stick and immediately pour the hot liquid into sterile twist-off glasses and turn upside down for 5 minutes.

  4. For the required amount of sugar, please note the information on the package. I had 2: 1 sugar, which gels 900 ml of juice, but other brands only gel 750 ml of juice. It is best to do a gelling test, if the mass becomes too runny, stir in a packet of citric acid and bring to the boil.
