Ingredients

  • 300 g feta cheese (I always use Greek made from sheep`s milk)
  • 1 kg tomato (s)
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 0.5 ½ bunch thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • some basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the feta into 0.5 cm thick slices. Cut the tomatoes into slices as well. Finely chop the parsley, thyme and garlic. Mix the herbs and garlic with the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Layer the cheese and tomato slices alternately in a flat baking dish, finish with feta. Brush each layer with the herbal oil in between.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for approx. 15 minutes. Garnish with basil.
