Figs Baked in the Oven

Fresh figs are baked in the oven with bacon, cheese, nuts, and thyme. Served with baked figs on croutons.

Ingredients

  • Figs (cut into halves) – 12 pcs.
  • Bacon or ham (finely chopped) – 110 g
  • Goat cheese (crumbled) – 110 g
  • Pecans or walnuts (chopped, roasted) – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh thyme (chopped) – 1 teaspoon.
  • Liquid honey – 1 tbsp
  • Croutons for serving

How to cook baked figs:

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine bacon (ham), cheese, nuts, and thyme.
  3. Press a small indentation into the fig halves with your fingers. Fill these cavities with cheese. Put the figs on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven, cook for about 7 minutes. Then drizzle the baked figs with liquid honey. Serve the baked figs immediately on the fried baguette slices (croutons).
