  • 6 stalks celery
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 slices pork belly, smoked, without rind
  • 160 g Gouda cheese, rated
  • some Himalayan salt or sea salt
  • some chili powder or pepper
  • some paprika powder, noble sweet, smoked
  • Herbs Provence

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 - 220 ° C with circulating air.
  2. Wash the celery stalks, cut off the edge at the top and bottom and remove the threads or peel them if necessary. For better processing, halve the sticks and cook in salted water for about 5 - 10 minutes, depending on the desired firmness. Drain well in a colander.
  3. In the meantime, lightly fry the minced meat in a pan without adding any fat. Don`t let it get too dark. Season with a little salt, chilli powder or pepper, paprika powder and herbs to taste.
  4. Prepare a flat, wide baking dish. Fill the celery stalks with the minced meat and place in the baking dish. Sprinkle the sour cream on top of the meat. Now place the bacon slices on top and simply fold over the ends that are too long.
  5. Roast in the oven for approx. 8-10 minutes after the bacon is crispy as desired. After this time pour the grated cheese over it and bake for another 3 - 5 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 180 ° C or even switch it off completely, the residual heat is sufficient.
  6. Variation: After the sour cream, place sheep`s cheese on top of the slices of bacon and leave out the grated cheese.
  7. Vegetarians can eat the meat e.g., Replace with tofu or my vegetarian minced meat, see my recipes.
  8. The recipe is designed as a dish for 2 people without any other side dish. With a side dish, e.g., Salad, even 3 people will be full.
