Fish Casserole with Spinach Ingredients

  • Small fish (hamsa, tulka, etc.) – 1.2 kg
  • Spinach – 0.5 kg
  • Grated hard cheese – 0.75 cup
  • Onions (medium) – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Dried Italian herbs
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Fish Casserole with Spinach Instructions

  1. Wash the fish, then peel.
  2. In a stewpan with heated vegetable oil, fry the onion until transparent. Then add finely chopped garlic and fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add spinach and sauté until soft. Throw the spinach mass on a sieve and squeeze out the excess liquid. Add chopped parsley, grated cheese, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix. Add eggs, stir again.
  4. Grease the bottom of a baking dish with vegetable oil and place half of the fish, backs down. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Spread the spinach cheese mixture evenly over the fish. Place the other half of the fish on top of the spinach, backs up. Grease with vegetable oil, sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  6. Cook the small fish casserole with spinach and cheese in the oven for about 45 minutes at 180 degrees.
  7. Allow the prepared fish casserole with cheese and spinach to cool to room temperature, then you can cut the casserole and serve.
