Fish stewed with vegetables and green peas is a delicious everyday dish that is easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Fish (medium-sized) – 300 g
Onions – 70 g
Carrots – 90 g
Tomatoes – 150 g
Bulgarian pepper – 170 g
Green peas (frozen) – 50 g
Tomato sauce – 130 ml
Vegetable oil – for frying
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Fresh parsley (optional) – to taste
Directions
Remove the head and entrails from the fish. Rinse the fish well inside and out, then pat dry with paper towels.
Peel the onions and carrots and cut them into cubes.
Cut the bell pepper, remove the stalk with seeds. Dice the pepper.
Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the onions for 2 minutes, until lightly golden. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the carrots to the onion and fry together for 5 minutes.
Then add pepper and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally so that the vegetables do not burn.
Cut the tomatoes into slices and add to the rest of the vegetables. Stirring, fry for another 5 minutes.
Pour in the tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Boil.
Put peeled fish with vegetables, placing them in a pan in one layer. Cover and cook fish and vegetables in tomato sauce over low heat for 15 minutes. Turn the fish over once while stewing.
At the end of cooking, about 5 minutes before cooking, add green peas to the pan.
Delicious fish stewed with vegetables and green peas is ready.
Arrange the stewed fish with vegetables and peas on plates. If desired, finely chop the herbs and sprinkle on the dish before serving.
