Ingredients

  • 300 g oatmeal, tender
  • 150 g oat flakes, crunchy
  • 300 g butter or alsan
  • 40 g suar beet syrup
  • 170 g suar, brown
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (vanilla essence)
  • a bit salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C fan oven.
  2. Combine the oatmeal in a mixing bowl.
  3. Melt the remaining ingredients in a saucepan over low heat to a smooth mass. To do this, stir the ingredients frequently as soon as the fat begins to melt. Towards the end, the mixture should look like thick syrup, no longer be grainy and never boil.
  4. Add the smooth sugar mixture to the oat flakes and stir well, then spread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, press down a little and bake for approx. 20 minutes.
  5. The color should not exceed a golden yellow - if necessary, take it out of the oven earlier.
  6. After baking, cut into bars while still hot and only then let them cool down.
