Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 175 g apples, diced into small pieces
  • 75 g sultanas
  • 40 g walnuts, chopped
  • 25 g almonds, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cl rum
  • 6 cl amaretto, (apple juice for children)

For the dough:

  • 250 g flour
  • 380 ml milk
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • Butter, for frying

Instructions

  1. For the filling mix the ingredients together and let it steep for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  2. Separate the eggs for the dough. Mix the flour, milk, egg yolk, sugar and salt together. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in.
  3. Melt the butter in the pan, pour the batter into the pan with a soup ladle. Put 1 - 2 tablespoons of the filling on the dough, let it bake and turn. Let the second side bake, roughly chop the dough with the spatula. Remove the pieces from the pan and fry the rest of the batter in the same way until the batter and the filling are used up.
  4. When everything is done, fry the pieces in butter again, place on a large plate and pour powdered sugar over them.
  5. I made a vanilla sauce with it!
