  • 1 rump steak (s), approx. 200 g
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard cream (Dijonaise)
  • 1 slice Gouda cheese
  • Salt and pepper, black or colored, coarsely ground

Instructions

  1. Take the rump steak out of the fridge approx. 1 hour before frying, wash it briefly with cold water, pat dry and place on a plate. Do not put in the refrigerator anymore.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into rings. Fry the onion rings in a pan until tender, seasoning with salt and pepper. If you want it crispy, simply dust some flour over it. Preheat the oven to 80 ° C. Put a plate in the oven so that the heat chain is not broken.
  3. Put the oil in a pan, let it get really hot and fry the steak on both sides for 2 minutes. Then place the steak on the preheated plate and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Brush with the mustard cream, place the onions on top and press down a little. Put the cheese on top and quickly in the oven. Leave in the oven for 25 minutes and then enjoy. The steak is now nice and medium. If you want it different, you can vary the cooking time a little.
