French Toast with Raisins

Make wonderful French toast for breakfast – slices of bread or rolls dipped in an egg and milk mixture and fried in butter.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Raisin Bread – 8 slices
  • Butter – 4 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs, sugar mixed with cinnamon, and milk. Add slices of bread, set aside for a while, then turn over to the other side.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over moderate heat. Place 4 slices of bread in a skillet and fry them on both sides until golden brown. Repeat for the remaining slices.
  3. Sprinkle the toast with powdered sugar, garnish as you wish, and serve immediately.
