Instructions

  1. Cut the rolls or pretzels into thin slices and let them soak in a bowl with warm milk for about 10 minutes. Grate the cheese or cut it into fine cubes and chop the chives / onions into small pieces.
  2. When the baked goods have soaked up the milk, fold in all the other ingredients. (Do not use nutmeg for small children and only add lightly salt.) Shape meatballs into hand-sized meatballs and fry them in a greased pan at medium temperature.
  3. When considering the amount of chives / onions, note that toddlers may not like them and are difficult to digest.
  4. Tip: Sprinkle your hands with breadcrumbs or flour before molding, if a lot of the mixture sticks to the hands.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
