Cottage cheese pancakes – a recipe for traditional home cooking. This is a great cottage cheese dish for breakfast or dinner. Delicious and healthy cheesecakes will always delight children and adults.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese – 500 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Wheat flour – about 4 tbsp + for breading
  • Sugar – 2-4 tbsp (to taste)
  • Vanillin – on the tip of a knife
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Refined vegetable oil and / or butter – 30-40 g
  • Sour cream (for serving) – 3-4 tbsp

Directions

  1. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve. Combine mashed cottage cheese with eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla. Mix well. Then combine the curd mass with flour. The amount of flour will depend on the moisture content of the curd, but you don’t need to add a lot of flour.
  2. Knead the curd dough. Divide the dough into portions. Form the cheesecakes and bread in flour, giving them a round, flattened shape. The cheesecakes should not be too thick, otherwise they will not bake.
  3. Heat the skillet well with oil. It is advisable to use vegetable oil for frying or a mixture of vegetable and butter, as one butter will burn. Put the cheesecakes in a frying pan and fry over medium heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes on each side. You can cover the pan with a lid by turning the cheese pancakes over to the other side. If you wish, you can bring the cheese cakes to readiness in the oven (5-7 minutes).
  4. Serve cheese cakes with sour cream, jam or sauce (fruit and berry, milk, sour cream)

Bon Appetit!
