Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and fry in a little oil with the ham cubes. Add the chopped iceberg lettuce and fry until soft. Deglaze with a dash of white wine and let cool.
  2. For the dressing, mix together the mayonnaise, milk, vinegar and mustard and season with salt, pepper, sugar and herbs. It may taste sweet. When the salad is cold, mix with the dressing. I like to put it in the fridge again, but that`s a matter of taste.
  3. Also tastes good on pulled pork burgers.
  4. Tip: You can replace the iceberg lettuce with white cabbage / Jaroma cabbage or mix both types.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
