Fried Potato Puree

If you want to diversify your usual side dish, make mashed potatoes from fried potatoes. This kind of puree turns out to be more aromatic, it seems like you eat ordinary puree, and to taste – fried potatoes! Interesting and unusual.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 4 pcs.
  • Milk – 300 ml
  • Butter – 0.5 tbsp
  • Sunflower oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare the required ingredients for the mashed potatoes.
  2. Peel, rinse, and cut the potatoes into cubes, or as you would normally if you plan to fry the potatoes.
  3. Fry the potatoes in sunflower oil until golden brown, about 7 minutes. The fire must be strong. Stir the potatoes frequently when roasting.
  4. Transfer the fried potatoes to a saucepan, pour in hot milk, add salt.
  5. Bring the milk to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook the fried potatoes in the milk until tender, about 10 minutes.
  6. Mash the mashed potatoes using the milk leftover from boiling. Season the puree with butter and mix thoroughly.
  7. The fried potato puree is ready. Serve hot as a side dish.
