  • 2 medium potato (s)
  • 1 medium onion (s), cut into half rings
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • some cheese, sliced or grated
  • 2 tablespoon clarified butter or highly heatable vegetable oil
  • Paprika powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into slices or cubes about 5 mm thick.
  2. Heat the pan, a cast iron pan is best, to about 80% of the maximum power and leave it that way until the end. Add clarified butter or oil to the pan and let it get hot. Put the potatoes in the pan and turn them often. Only when the potatoes have clearly taken on color on all sides, add the onions. When they are well seared, add the garlic, stir and then sprinkle the cheese directly over it and add the egg in the middle, swirl so that it spreads out a little. Season with plenty of paprika, pepper and salt. Stir again briefly until the egg has set.
