Ingredients

  • 600 g jacket potato (s)
  • 1 onion (s), red
  • 2 pinches herbal salt
  • 2 pinches herb pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fried potato seasoning or sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon germ oil
  • 1 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, frozen, or herbs your choice

Instructions

  1. It is best to cook the potatoes one day in advance as jacket potatoes in salted water for about 25 minutes. Let it cool down a little and peel, this works best when it is warm. Place in a bowl, put the lid on and put in the refrigerator. It is of course ideal if you have leftover potatoes from the day before.
  2. Peel the onion, cut in half and cut into strips.
  3. Let the oil and clarified butter get hot in the pan. Cut the potatoes into not too thin slices, add them to the pan and fry them vigorously. After about 10 minutes add the onions. Fry until everything is nice and crispy brown.
  4. Season with herb salt, herb pepper and fried potato spices at the very end. Sprinkle with parsley or other herbs that you have on hand.
