  • 5 large potatoes, waxy
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • some lard, for frying
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 egg (s)
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cook them in salted water. In the meantime, peel the onions and cut into strips. Peel and chop the garlic.
  2. Drain the boiled potatoes and let them cool.
  3. Heat the pan and leave out some lard. Cut the potatoes into 1-2 cm slices, add to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Fry the potatoes and turn them regularly so they don`t burn. When they are nicely browned, add the onions, garlic and the ham or bacon to the pan with the potatoes and continue frying.
  4. Be careful not to get the garlic too dark, otherwise it will taste bitter.
  5. The 2 eggs can be used either as scrambled or fried eggs. I usually make scrambled eggs, which I then put over the potatoes in the pan until the scrambled eggs have set.
