Ingredients

  • 1 kg yogurt (skimmed milk yogurt)
  • 125 g suar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg whites

Instructions

  1. First put about 1 kilo of skimmed milk yoghurt in a sieve that you have covered with a thin cloth. Put some cling film on top, weigh it down with a plate and leave to drain in the refrigerator for at least six hours (preferably overnight).
  2. The yogurt should now have the consistency of firm quark or cream cheese.
  3. Now mix this yoghurt mixture, sugar and vanilla sugar together well. Beat the egg white until stiff and fold it into the yogurt.
  4. Freeze in the ice cream machine as instructed.
  5. The following can now be refined as desired and required:
  6. Base (see above) and additionally e.g. up to 250 g fruit puree or 10 crumbled oreo cookies or 1 crushed, ripe banana or berry pieces to taste or a handful of mini marshmallows. The imagination knows no limits.
  7. Then add these other ingredients to the base mixture and pre-cool everything very thoroughly in the refrigerator. Firstly, the flavors combine better, and secondly, the preparation in the ice cream machine is faster.
