The dessert turned out to be very simple, but delicious and aromatic. Will definitely make a lime jelly cake !! I liked the light bitterness of lime combined with sweet orange)

Fruit Jelly on Agar-Agar Ingredients

  • Orange juice – 200 ml (I have 2 medium oranges)
  • Lime juice – 50 ml (2 limes)
  • Agar-agar – 4 g (~ 2 teaspoon)
  • Water – 500 ml
  • Sugar – 50 g (the jelly turned out to be not very sweet, if you like sweeter, increase the amount of sugar)
  • Mandarin duck for decoration (optional) – 1 pc.

Fruit Jelly on Agar-Agar Instructions

  1. Soak agar-agar in 500 ml of cold water for 30-40 minutes. Squeeze juice from oranges and limes. Peel the tangerine, put the slices on parchment to dry.
  2. Put the soaked agar on medium heat. Stir constantly, boil until a homogeneous jelly. Bring to almost boiling, but do not boil.
  3. Add sugar and boil for 2-3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Then mix the orange juice with the remaining syrup and stir. Pour the lime jelly on top. Decorate with mandarin duck and orange slices.
  5. Pour 150 ml of the agar mixture into a glass of lime juice. Pour into molds. Garnish with lime wedges if desired. Let stand for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Allow hardening at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Can be served on the table !!
