Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad is the best breakfast recipe for children and adults.

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Orange zest (chopped) – 1 teaspoon
  • Orange juice – 1 glass
  • Orange (peeled and cut into pieces) – 1 pc.
  • Red apple (cut into small pieces) – 1 pc.
  • Large pear (cut into small pieces) – 1 pc.
  • Seedless green grapes – 1 cup
  • Banana (cut into thin slices) – 1 pc.
  • Champagne or sparkling grape juice – 1 1/2 cups
  • Fresh mint leaves for decoration

Directions

  1. In a large non-metallic bowl, combine sugar, orange zest, and juice until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Put orange, apple, pear, and grapes in a bowl with the juice. Mix fruits gently. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate the fruit salad for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Add banana and champagne (or carbonated grape juice) to the salad before serving. Divide the fruit salad into 8 bowls, about 3/4 cup each fruit and juice.
  4. Garnish the finished fruit salad with mint leaves.
