Instructions

  1. From the specified amount I get about 130 walnut-sized meatballs, which are enough for about 40 people at a buffet.
  2. Finely dice the dates, apricots, onions and apples and place in a large bowl. Add the finely chopped chilli peppers, minced meat, breadcrumbs, eggs and baharat and season with salt and pepper. Knead well so that all ingredients are mixed into a mass, form small balls out of them and place on baking sheets with baking paper. I recommend pieces about the size of a walnut, as these are the easiest to eat at the buffet.
  3. Now brush the balls with a mixture of lemon juice and oil so that they are nice and crispy in the oven.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake the trays individually for 45 minutes on top and bottom heat.
  5. Then place the balls on kitchen paper so that they are not too greasy later.
  6. This recipe is perfect for parties or family celebrations, as the meatballs can be prepared very well the day before and taste even better cold than warm. So far I had looked for and tested something sweet and savory in vain until I came to this final version. A complete success at all celebrations so far.
