Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber (s)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 1 lemon (s), add the juice from it
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, approx.
  • 1 tablespoon stock, grained
  • 50 ml water
  • 100 g sour cream, possibly more
  • some black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped, frozen product, possibly a little more
  • some oil to sear the vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon curry, possibly a little more
  • a bit salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the cucumber and cut out the soft pieces. Cut the cucumber quarters into bite-sized pieces. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion cubes until translucent. Then add the cucumber pieces and let them sear a little. Add the curry powder, let it cook briefly. Pour in the water and let the granulated broth dissolve in it. Add lemon juice. Cover and steam the cucumber pieces until they just have a light bite. Stir in the sour cream and add the chopped parsley. Season with the sugar, pepper and salt. Boiled potatoes and natural schnitzel go well with it - but the vegetables are also a suitable accompaniment to fried fish. Note: the quantities of the spices are approximate - everyone has to find out his seasoning himself. If you want more sauce, you can add liquid whipped cream.
