Ingredients

  • 6 egg (s)
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 50 g marzipan paste
  • 1 tablespoon rum
  • 4 slices white bread, large (50 g each)
  • 3 apples, tart ones
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon cranberries, wild (thickened)

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs and cream together. Rub in the marzipan and stir in with the rum. Turn the white bread slices in the egg mixture, leave to stand for about 10 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, core the apples and cut into thin slices. Melt the butter in a pan, sauté the apple rings for about 2 minutes while turning and drizzle with lemon juice.
  3. Remove the bread slices from the egg cream and place in a baking dish. Spread the apple rings on top. Drizzle the rest of the egg cream on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven (convection oven: 175 degrees) for about 10 minutes.
  5. Spread the cranberries on the casserole and serve.
  6. Warm vanilla sauce tastes good with it.
