Instructions

  1. I made the liqueur with freshly picked, dried and cracked ripe brown walnuts from the tree. Of course, you can also buy nuts that you have bought here.
  2. Put all ingredients in a larger container and let it steep for 6 - 8 weeks in a dark place, e.g. in the storage room. Shake occasionally, especially at first!
  3. After the ripening period, sieve and filter the liqueur. I always use two paper kitchen towels, as they are more stable than coffee filters, and place them in the funnel of the coffee machine.
  4. The walnuts soaked with alcohol can still be used for other purposes, e.g., Mix with ice cream.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
