For this recipe, carrots are glazed with brown sugar.
Ingredients
Carrots – 12 pcs.
Brown sugar – 0.5 cups
Butter – 3 tbsp
Lemon zest – 1 tbsp
Vanilla extract – 0.25 teaspoon
Directions
Peel the carrots and cut into pieces about 2.5 cm in size.
Boil the carrots in a saucepan, pouring a little water, until half cooked. Dry.
In the same saucepan, combine butter and sugar. Heat until bubbles appear.
Return the carrots to the pot. Cook the glazed carrots, stirring occasionally, over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat, drizzle with vanilla extract.
