Ingredients

  • 500 g nocchi
  • 1 onion (s) (or some leek)
  • 1 can tuna in its own juice
  • 1 can tomato (s), diced
  • 200 ml cream or cream substitute
  • 1 packet grated cheese (grated cheese)
  • some oil to sweat
  • some herbs (e.g. basil, chives, oregano etc.)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly broth, instant, if necessary
  • Fat for the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Lightly boil the gnocchi in salted water (blanch).
  2. Peel and finely chop the onion (or clean the leek and cut into strips). Sweat in a little hot oil. Then add the chopped tomatoes and the tuna. Top everything up with the cream, season with salt, pepper and herbs to taste and reduce to a creamy consistency.
  3. Now grease a baking dish. Then pour in a good dollop of tuna sauce, put some of the gnocchi on top, then layer the sauce again. Do this until the sauce and gnocchi are used up. The top layer should be sauce, otherwise the gnocchi will bake. At the very end, sprinkle with grated gratin cheese.
  4. Baked in a preheated oven at 200 ° C until the cheese is gratinated and has a nice color. Fill onto plates and serve.
